Candid photos are the best, but let’s be real. When you’re not super comfortable in front of a camera (or when you have little bitties and husbands and extended family all in one picture), you might need a little direction.

What to Expect
VIBE CHECK
For a family session, we will start off with a few posed shots and then work our way into more of a lifestyle feel. I will of course jump in with more prompts, poses and ideas throughout the session but I ultimately want this to feel like a family date that I "happened upon"!
Working Together
If you’re thinking about booking, the best place to start is by reaching out. I usually respond pretty quickly, and from there we’ll choose a date and time that works well for both of us. Email or messaging is the easiest way to connect, but you’re welcome to leave your phone number too if that’s more comfortable for you.
About Timing & Light
Light is everything when it comes to the look and feel of your images. For that reason, beach sessions are almost always scheduled around sunset, when the light is softer, warmer, and more flattering. This is what gives photos that relaxed, natural look most people love.
Midday sessions are only offered during summer or school breaks, when schedules require more flexibility. Bright sun can cause squinting and strong shadows, which is why sunset is always preferred.
If the sky is overcast or the weather shifts, we may start earlier in the evening. Cloudy days are actually a favorite — they create even light and beautiful detail in the sky.
For non-beach locations, sessions are typically scheduled one hour prior to sunset
Locations
If you’d like, I’m happy to meet you directly at your vacation rental. Otherwise, I usually suggest a public beach access near the lighthouse area, staying clear of the busiest spots. The state park is another favorite it’s quieter, scenic, and well worth the small entry fee.
Most of my sessions take place throughout Franklin County. Depending on the season, I also travel.

Payment & Booking

A non-refundable deposit is due at booking and secures your session date.
The remaining balance is due 24 hours before your session.
Cash payments may be made at the time of the session.
Gallery Delivery
​
Your gallery will be delivered within 14 days of your session.
All usable images from your session are fully edited and included. I do not limit the number of photos you receive, allowing you to enjoy a complete and well-rounded gallery.
Downloading & Use
Downloading & Use Your images are delivered in high resolution, ready for printing, sharing, and displaying. Download instructions will be sent along with your gallery link. You’re welcome to post, share, and print your images. Re-editing, adding filters, or altering the photos is not permitted, as the final edits reflect my work and style.
